We are the first dedicated African, African Caribbean and South Asian facility for contemporary visual arts in the UK and will play a leading role in the region.

 

 

New Art Exchange has won a number of awards for its design and architecture including the RIBA National Award 2009, RIBA East Midlands Award 2009, The Lord Mayor's Awards for Urban Design - New Build and Overall Award, the national Civic Trust Award 2009 and a Nottingham Civic Association Commendation amongst others. Commissioned artist Hew Locke, has produced site-specific work integrated beautifully into the building. Locke has created a ceiling installation in the ground floor café, comprising aluminium plates embossed with imagery of the local area.
